Lisa London has been a Casting Director for over twenty-five years and has cast over 60 film and television shows. Along with her partner, Catherine Stroud, they have discovered and/or cast many notable actors and actresses early in their careers who have all gone on to become stars; such as Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana, Jonah Hill in Grandma’s Boy, Emma Stone, Katharine McPhee and Kat Dennings in House Bunny, Selena Gomez in the Disney pilot of What’s Stevie Thinking, Jennifer Aniston in her first feature, Leprechaun, Mark Ruffalo in the CBS series, Due South, Megan Hilty and Adrian R. Mante in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
Casting a large number of successful television shows such as Hit The Floor for VH1, Arliss on HBO, Roseanne on ABC, Get A Life on Fox, Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody on the Disney Channel is part of their forte. A pilot they cast for Amazon entitled, A History of Radness with four new up and comers who are not only talented actors, but play instruments and sing also, just won Outstanding Young Ensemble at the 37th Annual Young Artist Awards.
We have cast a number of movies including House Bunny and Grandma’s Boy for Happy Madison Productions and Stepfather for Screen Gems. They completed an independent feature film, In Search of Fellini that is starring Maria Bello, Mary Lynn Rajskub and the awesomely talented, Ksenia Solo (from the TV series, Orphan Black & the feature, Black Swan). A few recent films that they cast, a live-action version of Woody Woodpecker and an independent feature film, Delinquents with a number of young talented actors including, Colin Ford, Ellie Bamber, Sarah Hay, Paul Iacono, Christine Ko, Christopher Warren, Tanner Stine and Danielle MacDonald are currently filming. Lisa loves helping actors and wrote a book, From Start To Stardom (The Casting Director’s Guide For Aspiring Actors).
